Long time no see! It's been a hectic season with massive work and radical decisions. I am happy to announce that I have moved to Melbourne and will be living here for at least a year.
I was trapped in a vicious circle for a year or two and it affected my creativity and productivity in a really bad way. I needed to get out, so Merve (my lovely girlfriend) and I took a leap of faith and moved to a different part of the planet.
I am pretty new here and it may be a little early to share my impressions, but so far I have observed that people are easy going and happy. Yet, somehow they seem a bit reluctant to help. They are also not as polite as Canadians.
Compared to where I am from, Australia lacks history, but they preserve what they have as best as they can. It’s exciting to see 200 year old buildings that are still in daily use.
The Victorian government strongly supports art and innovation and there is a great art community with many boutique galleries. Let’s see if there will be any collaborations.
Since I arrived, I have started to think that adapting here will be harder than I anticipated. I don’t really know what to do at this point.
The weather is not as warm and sunny as you would expect from Australia, but I guess this is why Melbourne has such a great metal scene. It also has a great dark art scene. Let’s see if this will be a good thing for me. So far, I haven’t had enough opportunities to socialise.
My studio is still under construction. I will share once I build it, so wait for it!
Oh, by the way, I am still totally available for commissions and collaborations. You can still purchase prints. Unfortunately, sticker sales are suspended until I can find a decent place to print them.
I feel that Melbourne will open doors that I never knew existed. I am really hopeful and eager to see what will happen.
If you want to talk or have any suggestions, please feel free to contact me via any platform you feel comfortable with!
Wish me luck!
